    The Tournament:

The ATP World Tour Finals (also known as the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals for sponsorship reasons) is a professional men's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts and is held annually in November at the O2 Arena in London, United Kingdom. The ATP World Tour Finals are the season-ending championships of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour, featuring the top eight singles players and doubles teams of the ATP Rankings. The tournament was first held in 1970. The current champions (2015) are Novak Djokovic in singles and Jean-Julien Rojer and Horia Tecău in doubles.

Unlike all other singles events on the men's tour, the ATP World Tour Finals is not a straightforward knock-out tournament. Eight players are divided into two groups of four and play three round-robin matches each against the other players in their group. The two players with the best records in each group progress to the semifinals, with the winners meeting in the final to determine the champion. Though it is theoretically possible to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament with two round-robin losses, no player in the history of the singles tournament has won the title after losing more than one round-robin match. About London

London, the capital of England and the United Kingdom, is a 21st-century city with history stretching back to Roman times. At its centre stand the imposing Houses of Parliament, the iconic ‘Big Ben’ clock tower and Westminster Abbey, site of British monarch coronations. Across the Thames River, the London Eye observation wheel provides panoramic views of the South Bank cultural complex, and the entire city.

the worst player in Andy's group (Cilic) is still better than the best player in Djoker's group (Raonic), based on current form anyway.

    Lop-sided draw.

Yep, Murray's group is a much tougher nut to crack. I haven't crunched the numbers, but if Djokovic wins the event, does he return to #1 regardless?

think so, positive for murray is that he won't have to meet Wawrinka (and leave for Djjoker to handle) in the semi if he makes that far.

Muzz has two GS winners in his group but I hope he will hundle it well though I would bet for Cilic even that he never has convinced me too much......:-(

At last some compensation for easy draws he had in last 6 months when he only played couple of matches with raonic and Nihikori of all the top 10 players. btw, wasn't raonic deadly injured when he was supposed to play Murray last week? How come he recovered in just couple of days?

I think so too. Monfils, who seems allergic to big stake matches, a tired Thiem, and Raonic is just not in their class. It's looking like it's going to be showdown for the #1.

That's true, and I thought it was a tear, so that sounded serious.

Mastoor, do you see how much tough is for you and his fans to see your fav not playing well (what ever is the reason)? would you like that I would open a thread about all the rumors about him? think about it because I remember you did about Rafa when everybody knew about the whole treatment he had to go through to take a good care with his knee healing completely that injury

milos seems to be ok then. grade1 thigh strain/tear. recovery is 2-10days. so claimed.

skeletor berdy is out as 1st reserve with appendix aggro again, so marty mcfly would play should milos or anyone else be injured.
